ADD Your Service to our Data Base!

The database contains information about service providers that enhance the quality of individual and community life. The database will be used to produce a printed directory, at the request of the grantor agency and to assist callers.

It is important to read our Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria (below) to see if your service meets are requirements. Please allow us fifteen (15) business days to update our database. Thank you!

Eligible to be included:

·         Agencies that have been in operation longer than 6 months may be included in the database

 

·         Health and human service programs offered by State, county or municipal governments which have offices in or serve residents of the county or surrounding jurisdictions

 

·         Organizations that serve the citizens of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot counties and surrounding jurisdictions

 

·         Agencies outside the mid-shore area that meet a need for residents in the jurisdiction, that is not met by a non-profit or public agency within said area

 

·         For profit agencies that provide a service not met by public or non-profit agencies

 

·         For profit agencies offering low-cost goods that are not readily available through community non-profit agencies

 

·         For profit agencies that offer free or low cost services to the community

 

·         Non-profit organizations which provide, coordinate and advocate for health and human services

 

·         Civic and business associations

 

·         Professional organizations that provide a public service

 

·         Advocacy groups related to health and human service issues

 

·         Community groups

 

·         Self-help support groups

 

·         Social or fraternal organizations which serve non-members

 

·         Administrative offices of public schools in the mid-shore area

 

·         Private schools for special needs

 

·         Professional and regulatory boards

 

·         Information and referral services

 

·         Non-profit nursing homes

 

·         Chambers of Commerce

 

 

Not Eligible to be Included:

·         Non-profit organizations that are only able to list volunteer opportunities, but not services for callers

 

·         Commercial business establishments not described above

 

·         Agencies that violate federal, state or local laws  or regulations

 

·         For-profit nursing homes and personal care homes

 

·         Agencies promoting or permitting racism or bigotry

 

·         Organizations (e.g., churches, social clubs) to the extent which they offer a service only to their members

 

·         Agencies that provide services based out of the provider’s home

 

·         For profit medical facilities
CHESAPEAKE HELPS! reserves the right to exclude from its database any organization that it has adequate reason to believe may spread hatred or have a philosophy that could be hurtful to the well-being of individuals, groups or the community as a whole. Potential grounds for exclusion or removal from the database may include, but is not limited to, service non-delivery, fraud, misrepresentation, discrimination, or criminal activities.

CHESAPEAKE HELPS! reserves the right to refuse to list or to discontinue listings for organizations that have had serious complaints lodged against them with any regulatory body, with other organizations in the database providing similar services, or with CHESAPEAKE HELPS! itself."

The fact that an agency is or is not listed in the database is not an endorsement or lack of endorsement of their purpose, method, or quality of service.
